Court costs
Court costs are assessed in addition to any fine imposed. Costs for criminal and traffic cases are governed by Local Rule 46.

Waiver fees
Many minor traffic offenses may be resolved without a court appearance by paying the scheduled waiver amount at the Traffic Violations Bureau (Local Rules 47 and 48).

Non-waiverable offenses
Some offenses require a mandatory court appearance and cannot be waived — including OVI, driving under suspension, and offenses involving injury.
